Dean Attwell

CEO AND FOUNDER

As Co-Founder of Oakland International Limited, and a man with 25 years of experience in running one of the UK’s  largest multi temperature storage and distribution companies, Dean has long harboured a vision of creating food and science parks hinged around sustainability. Always
someone who thinks outside of the box, Dean aims to challenge how the current supply chain
can be improved with cost saving initiatives and more sustainable solutions and has big
ambitions when it comes to creating food parks and eco villages centred around affordable
housing, sustainable living and the creation of thousands of jobs.

Lee Whitling

MANAGING DIRECTOR

As Managing Director of Green Clover Developments, Lee heads up the company’s drive
towards creating the most revolutionary, sustainable food parks and eco home sites in the UK.
Lee’s aim is to establish the first in Worcestershire as a model which can then be rolled out
across the UK and Scotland. A former warehouse operative, Lee climbed the career ladder at
pace taking on roles as a general manager and group supply chain director before diversifying
into this exciting new role with GCD. His aim is now to lead from the front in his quest to create a
food park providing jobs and security for thousands of workers.

David Clews

As the owner of a family-run company of chartered surveyors. David brings more than 35 years-
experience in acting on large property portfolios. David and his team have been at the centre of

our land searches for suitable sites for GCD to explore its’ food parks vision. His advice and
direction will also be key as we navigate full scale planning applications and site surveys.

Elinor Smith

SUSTAINABILITY OFFICER

Sustainability officer Elinor is relatively new in post but brings a wealth of educational experience
in environmental policies to the table. The former Lancaster University student secured a First
Class Degree in Geography and a Distinction in her Master’s in Environment, Development and
Policy from the University of Birmingham, before joining the GCD team. Elinor lists her passion
for the environment and the people who depend on it as the driving force for change as she
works on projects aimed at finding a balance between environmental systems and human
societies as our business strives towards achieving net zero by 2040.

Pete Vaughan

His background maybe in retail and managing supermarkets, but Pete has supported Dean as
his strategic development manager for many years.

Anthony Doyal

Building Control Project Manager – Provides strategic building control leadership on large and complex developments, ensuring full compliance with Building Regulations from design through to completion. Works closely with project teams and regulatory bodies to manage inspections, mitigate compliance risk, and support safe, efficient project delivery across multi-phase schemes.
